- Darrell S. Daniel III
Senior Vice President & Senior Relationship Manager
Darrell Daniel is the senior relationship manager at Grandpoint's Irvine banking office. Darrell, who has spent most of this 20-year banking career in Orange County, was most recently Vice President of Commercial Bank of California in Costa Mesa, where he was responsible for developing new business banking relationships.
Previously, he was a Managing Director for Debt Capital Connections, LLC, in Irvine, providing financial management consulting services to a variety of industries. From 2003 to 2008, Darrell managed the commercial banking division of CommerceWest Bank in Irvine, overseeing three business centers. Prior to that, he was with Southern Pacific Bank from 2000 to 2003, where he was a loan portfolio manager. He launched his banking career in 1994 with Deutsche Bank in Anaheim, ultimately serving as a Senior Account Executive.
Darrell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from St. Mary's College in MOraga, Calif.
- Darlene M. Esquerra
Senior Vice President & Institutional Banking Manager
Darlene Esquerra most recently served as Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for Global Correspondent Banking at Wells Fargo Bank. In that position, she managed the sale and delivery of financial products and services to a large portfolio of community banks, consistently exceeding goals for relationship development and portfolio growth. She maintained full portfolio compliance and created an on-site client/staff training program that enhanced product knowledge and led to strong portfolio growth.
From 1994 to 1996, Darlene was Assistant Vice President and Operations Manager in the Real Estate Division of First Interstate Bank of California. She was responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of the Escrow Deposit Services and Foreclosure/Reconveyance departments, which handled work for the 12 states in First Interstate's Northwest and Southwest regions. In that capacity, Darlene developed a highly effective tracking program for title referrals and refined operating procedures that significantly increased the efficiency of both departments. Previously, she served as a Client Services Team Leader, working with title and escrow clients. Darlene launched her financial services career in 1978 at Crocker National Bank.
- Petra Griffith
Senior Vice President & Director of Technology & Venture Banking
Petra Griffith manages the Technology & Venture Banking division of Grandpoint Bank, a new division focusing on the unique needs of early stage, high-growth companies and their investors. Petra lends a unique entrepreneurial and operational perspective to the banking industry, having spent over 15 years building technology products for start-ups as well as larger companies.
Prior to joining Gradnpoint, Petra was a senior product manager with Yahoo since 2006, where she led monetization products for Yahoo's media experience division. Previously, she helped start two start-ups in the Bay Area, iPrint.com and ZuluSports.com, and launched new products within larger fitness and media companies, including 24 Hour Fitness, BSkyB and Time, Inc.
Petra has been active in the Los Angeles start-up community, acting as a coach for the Women in Los Angeles Venture Association business plan competition and hosting industry panels. Petra earned her undergraduate degree in iInternational Politics and Economics, and German Cultural Studies from Middlebury College in Vermont, and an M.B.A. from the London Business School. - Annette Isaacs
Senior Vice President & Treasury Management Services Manager
Most recently, Annette Isaacs worked at City National Bank, first as Vice President of Treasury Cash Management Sales beginning in 1999, and, from 2007 to 2010, as Vice President and Team Leader for Treasury Management Sales. She managed a staff of sales officers who supported the Bank's branches, commercial banking offices and specialty units, working collaboratively to analyze client needs and cross sell treasury management services.
From 1991 to 1999, Annette served as Assistant Vice President and then Vice President of Cash Management for Imperial Bank. She was responsible for marketing cash management services to middle market companies, municipalities, trust companies and the health care industry as well as supporting Imperial's branch offices. In 1988, she joined the Los Angeles office of First National Bank of Chicago as a Service Consultant in the Cash Management Services division. In that capacity, she was responsible for providing cash management services for 300 West Coast client relationships. Annette began her banking career in 1978 at First Interstate Bank of California..
Annette serves on the board of directors of Bloom Again Foundation. She is a member of the Association for Financial Professionals of Southern California and volunteers with the Y.W.C.A. - West San Fernando Valley, Wonder of Reading program and Soccer Committee. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
